Product Description

Sanders unique and patented Fireslab system provides a simple, cost effective means of upgrading the fire resistance of a timber floor, to comply with the requirements of Part B of the Building Regulations.

The system comprises specially selected 75mm thick mineral fibre slabs, having a low resin binder and shot content, secured in place with galvanised steel brackets and spiral screw fixing system.

Timber herringbone cross braces, where present, are protected by sealing around them with Sanders Firecrete fire-stopping compound.

  • Satisfies full 90 minutes integrity and insulation under loaded conditions (BS476 part 21, 1987);
  • Lightweight and easy to install by one man;
  • System allows Fireslab to be fitted tight between the joists and at the lowest practicable level for maximum protection;
  • Unique slab anchoring systems, fixed from above, gives protection to support bracketry and helps resist any pressure build up from below, in the event of fire;
  • Fireslabs butt bonded for optimum performance.

Sanders Fireslab is particularly suited to fire upgrading works in older properties, or historic buildings, where an existing decorative ceiling is not to be disturbed, or in fire compartmentation of multi-occupancy properties, where installation of a fire rated ceiling below is not an option.
